My friend Brokenkites makes music – really good instrumental music. And he’s a non-stop music making machine. Check out one of my favorite songs and videos by him.

Wow… I had no idea that there were wireless SD cards for your camera. How long have I been under a rock? A company called Eye-Fi (http://www.eye.fi) creates the cards. Here are just some of the features:
Wow. I gotta get one of these.
I went to the CKY show August 11th at the Norva (Norfolk, VA). It was an OK show compared to when I saw them in Atlanta a couple of years ago. The Atlanta show was stronger, edgier, and the set list more diverse. This time, I think because of the small venue, small crowd, the fact that it’s Norfolk, they didn’t play as well. What irked me what the fact that their set list was mostly all the stuff from their first 2 albums. All the stuff the kiddies know. I wanted to hear more songs from “An Answer can be Found” and their new album. I was disappointed by this. I felt like they were selling out.
The highlight of the show: someone threw a Michael Jackson t-shirt up onto the stage, so the band broke out with a rockin’ version of “Beat It”.
The band who played before CKY was a Swedish band called Graveyard. They were definitely talented with their melodic strings… very reminiscent of Led Zepplin. I was definitely grooving out to this band.
histerical! http://www.sakupen.com/unicorn.htm
I enjoy listening to music as well as making music. I’ve been playing guitar since I was 13, and making electronic music since I was 16. My music software of choice is FruityLoops. I just love the interface and all the goodies it has. It’s so flexible and you can import your own loops, sound clips, and hits/hats/strings, etc.
Here are some of my best electronic songs:
* songs with vocals
Run Away Today
Acid Girls
Store Your Memory
Diamond Lake (Frozen Remix) (My Bjork inspired song)
Shadows
Sneaky
Underground Poets*
Moon Rabbits
Cavern Creature
Freddy’s Charm (This is how Freddy Kruger creeps on Elm Street, boo!)
Be A Man* (Hole cover)
And here are some other songs that I’ve wrote — just me and my guitar:
This Town*
Shattered* (written by Brokenkites, aka James Willard)
All of the above music is copyright. Contact me if you like it, but don’t steal it.
this is the song i’ve been singing my whole life
i’ve been waiting like a knife
to cut open your heart
and bleed my soul to you
i did it all for you
you and you and you and youthis is the sound i’ve been making my whole life
i’ve been waiting for this night
to clear up all the talk
although i’m selfish to a fault
is it selfish, it’s you i want
you, i did it all for youthis love will stand as long as you
there’s really no excuse
i did it all for youthese are the tears i’ve been crying my whole life
like an ocean of desire
i’m reaching through the noise
across the dusk of time
within the lilting lights
i am singing out to you
I wish the work week only consisted of 4 working days, with 3 days to rest. I hate sitting in front of the computer all day… blah! To make things worse, there is a window next to my desk. It taunts and teases me, “Don’t you wish you could be outside right now?” Oh you bet I do. I wish I was doing anything else but sitting in front of a computer all day. I’d really love to just get outside and enjoy that thing called LIFE.
Maybe if I jumped on the “breeders” wagon and made like 5 kids overnight, I could leave work at 2 pm too!… like all the moms here do. Oh wouldn’t that be wonderful. ::throws up::
I have finally setup my blog here at vintagestars.com. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now… so here it is!
My name is Carrie and I live in Virginia… I work as a webmaster for a fancy advertising agency, and I love listening to music, watching movies, snuggling with my cats, and lovin’ on my husband. I’m most likely going to blog about all of those things I just mentioned. Go figure.
Aight… catch ya later.
